2026 Varsity Coaching Staff
Coach Tenner received his degree from Villanova University where he majored in Education and was a three year starter on the football team. After college he played football professionally with the San Francisco 49ers and Scottish Claymores of NFL Europe. Once his playing days concluded, he earned his Masters in Cross-Cultural Education and began his career in education. Over the last 26 years, Jason has coached Varsity Football at Homestead, Leland, Ponderosa, and Sheldon High School, sixteen of those years as a Head Coach.
In addition to coaching at the high school level Coach Tenner has had the honor of coaching in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl(2006), as well as USA Football’s International Bowl(2017 & 2018). He was also a Regional Director with USA Football for five years, traveling around the country in the spring helping athletes and parents maximize their high school football experience while competing for a spot on our National Team. Coach is excited to share what he has learned with West Park Student-Athletes helping them maximize their potential on and off the field. Jason, his beautiful wife Katy and their two children, Kaya (11) and Quincy (9) are excited to be a part of the West Park Community. Coach is humbled and honored to be the leader of the Panthers!

Assistant Head Coach/QB's-Marco Hanan
Coach Hanan has coached at many levels for the past 20 years, including varsity stops at Woodcreek High School and Antelope High School, and as the head coach of several championship seasons at the youth level. He has experience as a varsity assistant head coach and coordinator, and also spent 3 years as an assistant Athletic Director at Woodcreek. Coach Hanan will coach the Wide Receivers at West Park, in addition to being a teacher and the coordinator of the Health Department on campus. Coach Hanan and his wife Jaime, along with their two sons Jackson (12th grade) and Hudson (11th grade) are proud to be Panthers!
Offensive Coordinator-Zach Lovell
Coach Lovell has spent the last 25 years coaching in the Sacramento Area. He has most recently been the passing game coordinator and wide receiver coach for the Oakmont Vikings. Previous positions include time as both a Varsity offensive and defensive coordinator, as well as JV and Freshmen heading coaching positions. Coach Lovell will help lead the West Park Panthers as the Offensive Coordinator.
